Did you know that employees are entitled to at least one day off in a seven-day workweek? Companies should designate a workweek; otherwise, the law sets a default workweek.
Employers should communicate that employees have a mandatory rest day, although employees may independently choose to not take a day of rest. The day of rest requirement does not apply to a part-time employee who works less than 30 hours in a workweek or less than six hours in a day.
